And in my spare time...

And by spare time, I mean time I should be doing my law reading of my Energy Efficiency homework, but instead will procrastinate by giving myself a facial, a hair mask, a fun manicure AND post about it.

While Ryan was out of the apartment for a few hours, I decided it'd be the perfect time to give myself a hair mask treatment and do my laundry at the same time. Later on I would realize this was a combo mistake...

I got sucked into buying this product at the local drug store (yes, they have beauty reps at my local spot now. How intimidating!) but it was totally worth it. The scent was divine but not too strong and the texture and feel were just what I needed to relax.

Then I applied a hair mask and donned a sweet new shower cap that I also found at the local drug store. They had run out of the standard shades I suppose...

This is when i proceeded to go start my laundry... I was hoping not to run into any cute boys in the laundry room downstairs. Thankfully I only ran into a funny girl in her laundry day best, so I didn't feel too ridiculous.
It was on my third run down to collect my things (and thankfully having washed the face mask off beforehand) that I ran into a cute couple on the elevator. Slightly awkward, but I think the guy found my shower cap cute and the girl thought it hysterical. We all win here.

Lastly, I paint my nails in funny colors I feel inspired. It usually happens once every blue moon or when Kat sends me Youtube videos with fun effects.

I feel wonderful. I guess I should start my work now... ah, the life of a grad student...

  1. I am loving those nails! Reminds me that spring is around the corner and that makes me excited. I love how your nails are green in the beginning and at the end their perfectly painted again. Procrastination at it's best ;)

So what did you think of the hair mask? Did it make a huge difference in how your hair felt?

  2. You're such a good fan, Zapp for noticing such details!

I really didn't do a great job of reviewing the hair masque, now did I? It was wonderful. I only really use them in the winter, because my hair always feel drier and more damaged then. What a difference it made! with long hair, brushability is key. and shine. The masque gets an A+ :)

    And I agree about spring.
